My sister made a great point

that I need to buy a new camera. Anyone have any good advice for a good one? I just need something fairly nice and uncomplicated. If it was small that would be good for throwing in the purse. If nothing else just tell me what camera you have and why you do and don't like it. Thanks!!!

For Christmas I got a Canon Digital Elph. It's a Powershot SD850 IS with 8 megapixels and I L-O-V-E it! It's small enough to toss in my purse so I always have it and it takes really good pictures. It also has a lot of different settings that are easy to use.

I can't help you there, mine works for taking basic pictures but nothing really exciting or on the fly.

You want one that will turn on quickly and allow you to take multiple shots in quick succession so you don't miss the really good shots.

At least those are the frustrations I experience with my digital.

i love my nikon d40x, but it is definitely not small and you wouldn't want to throw it in your purse even if it would fit... i've had a sony cybershot and it took great pictures. i also had a canon powershot a240 or something like that. it also took good pictures. however, if you are going to let bl play with it... you might want to get something a little more durable.

Canon Powershot Elph. That is all I have to say. It is amazing!

Don't get what I have, it is so slow responding, the kid is out of the shot by time the camera takes the shot. Nice empty room pix. What Physcokity said.

I have a nice and cheap Kodak Easy Share. It's little and unobtrusive which is great for stealth picture shoots in randomly weird places like the Kroger's bathroom.

I have a Sony Cybershot and I LOVE it - and my sister just bought a new Canon powershot elph and that one is REALLY nice also. I think my next camera may just be the cannon - it had some really neat features, and is very small and easy to carry around! The new cybershots are as well (mine is 4 years old and kind of bulky).
