My husband wisked me off to Sedona for the weekend
and it was so much stinkin' fun. He totally shocked me. We on a 1-10 scale of surprises it was a 9.75 for the fact that I caught his friend mouthing "Have fun" to him while saying goodbye the night before. Mike tried to play it off by saying "you know, like, have fun, get some action tonight..." I love my husband's one track mind... I should have known something was up when he asked if I would ever leave Landen overnight if he were sick. (Landen caught a virus that is quite popular with the kids right now, just a fever and runny nose but annoying none the less.) So my awesome, wonderful, fabulous sister came and took care of him. We left at about 9am yesterday and spent the afternoon wandering around Sedona. In the evening I got a facial (so nice) and Mike got a massage (his first). On the way to get the massage we were discussing male vs. female masseuse. He was highly against having a male and I was highly against him having a female. It ended up being okay because Mrs. Shrek took away a little time from the opening of her 3rd movie to come and give him a massage. I guess we were both okay with that solution... me more than him:) We ate at Picazzo's and it was so incredibly yummy. We got half Fresh Spinach Bacon, half Chicken, Bacon, Gorgonzola. I highly recommend both. Our dinner ended up being free because our ticket apparently got lost and it took about 45 min's to get out pizza. It as a good thing my husband had just gotten a massage and was very relaxed or he probably would have made us walk out and we would have missed out big time! We tried to go see a movie but Sedona wasn't really the place to catch a movie but the small town of Sedona didn't have much to offer. Our navigation system lead us to some crazy place that was definitely NOT a movie theatre:) So after getting lots of sleep we ordered some breakfast up to our room... so nice. It was really yummy. Unfortunately we then had to check out but I was really ready to get back home to my sweet baby. When we were about a half an hour out of Sedona we ended up getting a flat! I think we made record time for putting on the spare though. It was probably the first time we've been able to work on the same project and not get frustrated with one another:) So the drive home took about twice as long as it should have. But at least we got home safe to our sweet baby boy. We then had to freshen up and head to my sis-in-law's for a Mother's Day dinner. I was kind of annoyed that it wasn't my family but oh well. I will get to see them pretty soon. It was a fabulous weekend and Mother's Day. Happy Mother's day to all y'all as well!
