My ward is driving me crazy...

We have exactly 7 apartment complexes, BIG apartment complexes that give us a large supply of nomadic young couples. This greatly contributes to my lack of friends. Six to twelve months is usually the max for the majority of the people who move in our ward. True just a few years ago we were in the same group but we were fortunate enough to be blessed with the opportunity to purchase a home... in this crazy ward. A girl I just recently have become quite good friends with is 90% sure moving at the end of the summer. Once again I'm going to be back to zero good friends. I find myself asking people who move in how long they'll be in the ward. They get crossed off the mental checklist pretty much the second they say they're renting. I should be more open but it's hard. I'm obviously not that great at making friends and it seems like every time I have made a friend here they move. Just one more reason I need to live near my sisters!!

Hey cutie. You could be a house snob and only make friends with people who live in houses. I'm brainstorming for you.

We live in apt in our ward, and I indeed feel checked off the list. I have made like no friends in our new ward, (we have been here a year) and I am lonely and isolated. Be brave and reach out.

we have a ward like that. You may have to find friends in other places like neighbors! the things your children are into, gets you into different and more established circles of friends. Try to be Miss Congeniality - no trophies or awards but a lot of fun on the way.
