1- no carpet in the area to clean up 2- clorox wipes to catch accidents on the floor (that has no carpet) 3- lots and lots of kool-aid (makes them pee OFTEN) 4-potty treats (something small that they LOVE) we are using dum dub suckers 5- and last, but not least, a sense of humor!!! Good Luck!!!
Amen! I remember when CQ was working with Peanut to get her to go potty. She said one time that she had to go, so in trying to make it fun I picked her up under one arm and ran with her to the can.
Try to make it a positive experience although I'm sure trauma will inevitably be a part of it whether it's yours or his ;)

The essential things I need when I potty train:
1- no carpet in the area to clean up
2- clorox wipes to catch accidents on the floor (that has no carpet)
3- lots and lots of kool-aid (makes them pee OFTEN)
4-potty treats (something small that they LOVE) we are using dum dub suckers
5- and last, but not least, a sense of humor!!!
Good Luck!!!
I agree with Christy's list. It's important to reward him every time he sits on the potty - no matter if he goes or not. Positive reinforcement!
Good luck!

It goes in the hole.
GM- I'm sure that discussion won't come up for a few more years;)
