an interpretive dancer, let me know. When the organ strikes up with the right hymn, BL turns the aisle into his personal stage. It really is so adorable and he puts so much heart into dancing and trying to mix some of the words into his singing. I've never seen a two year old so passionate about singing and dancing, to hymns no less. When we make him stop he always gets his feelings so hurt and says "I WAS DANCIN', DAD!" (yes, BW has to do the dirty work) I try to get him to do it in the pew because it wouldn't really be disrupting anyone, but I guess that doesn't give him enough room for his artistic expression. I can't blame him, I still haven't adjusted since they put the pews back in six inches closer together!
Another time BW turned on one of BL's favorite shows. BL always has to get up and sing and dance to the theme song (and any other song for that matter). I was resting on the couch in the throes of my nausea and BW tried to hush BL a bit. BL got more genuinely upset than I have EVER seen him or any other two year old for that matter. He immediately started to cry and emphatically, but with sad breaks in his voice said "NO DAD! I'M SINGIN' IT! NO DAD!" He made his way to the couch to sit and cry. Even after BW encouraged him to get up and try again, he refused. Mean daddy....
You may ask why I do not have a video to go with these stories?
1. As soon as I touch the camera BL immediately stops doing whatever it was he was previously doing and for the life of me I can not get him to do it again with the camera in hand.
2. I STILL have yet to figure out how to change the format on my videos to make them useful for anything online. Love my camera, except for that. Any suggestions?
***Edited to add- So we have two votes saying it's okay for him to dance in the aisle because he isn't really disrupting anyone. I really want to know what everyone else thinks. Disruptive and irreverent or he's having a good time in church and no one is being disrupted. VOTE!

I say as long as he's not running around in the aisles, let him dance. He's so adorable!
Mean Dad! Don't stiffle his creativity. Teach him some moves, maybe even get him some BLUE STRIPES I say. Have some home dance parties! He's got the rhythm in him.
It's expected it's a family ward...and btw unless it's the sac hymn, and he isn't physically hurting anyone I think it's all good. I'm sure the Lord appreciates his two year old devotion and "worship" through song and dance.
Let the boy dance. Everyone needs to loosen up. He's not interrupting any talks...he's just expressing himself.
i'm sad I've never witnessed the dancing but that could be because we are always slinking in after the opening prayer.
Let him dance - it won't bother me a bit! Maybe you should ask Sheri's dad if it bothers him... if not, let him dance his heart out!
p.s. Eric gets really uptight when Brayden plays with toys under the pew by other people's feet, but I keep telling him that he'll cause more of a scene if I have to pull him out from under a pew than if we just let him stay down there.
So did you let him dance today?
Hi--I saw your comment on cjanerun and I'm with you. I need to eat better and live a healthier lifestyle. I hope you don't think it weird I'm leaving a comment but when I saw you said if someone reads this...it felt perfect to contact you. I too love to analyze people and also would love to get a degree in counseling. If you are interested in emailing each other with fun ideas about healthier eating etc. please feel free to email me at kansasdunaways@gmail.com. Thanks!

AH! I was juts talking to Nobody about this same thing, as soon as she grabs the camera/camcorder, the kids stop doing whatever cute thing they were doing.
Anyway. Cute picture, awww. I wouldn't have moved him either.
Dance little guy, dance your heart out!
Umm, yeah...the above comment goes with the other post.

Also, the "dance" part does go with this post.
