To catch you up here is what you've missed:

Contractions

OB appt. 50% effaced I need to cut back more. I only just recently realized why this was a big blow and almost a complete break down quickly ensued after I left the office. I had to stop in a parking lot to collect myself before I went to pick up BL from my friend's house. I was really trying my best to do things around the house and still be good about giving my body breaks so I didn't have too many contractions. Then I went to the OB and found out I wasn't doing as well as I thought and I needed to give more.

Lots of contractions

Writing out Christmas lists so my fabulous husband and sister could do all the shopping.

Contractions

A really good Christmas (pictures to come later... maybe) BL was REALLY into Christmas this year and after Santa came he was pretty much nothing but giddy for 3 days straight. I've never seen him smile so much. He would just randomly get the cheesiest grin on his little face. He still says "Merry Christmas" to BW every time he puts him to bed and sings "Jingle Bells" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" pretty often.

Lots more contractions

Started taking the horrible meds that really didn't work as well as I wish they would have.

Bed rest.... ugh.

Contractions

Lots of ridiculously awesome women pitching in to take care of BL while I'm down.

A little bit less contractions

A simple New Years at home in place of the awesome night out we had planned :/

Contractions

Bed rest is working and finally off the yucko meds.

Sporadic contractions

Having the sacrament brought to me. Very cool. I hope I can remember to keep the prayer so personal when I am able to go back to church.

So only 7 1/2 more weeks of bed rest. Like I said before, ridiculously awesome women have been so helpful in offering to help out with BL during the day. At this point anything more than using the remote or laptop makes me have contractions. It was hard taking that first step to ask for help especially because it's a lot to ask of people. I've been overwhelmed at the willingness to serve our family. I am so grateful to know that BL will be well taken care of over the next 7 1/2 weeks. I also know that because of this selfless service my little in utero boy is going to have a really good chance at a good start in this life. I have a lot to be grateful for and after all this help has stepped in I've been able to adjust to the bed rest. That and BW fusses at me anytime I get off the couch... a girl's gotta pee sometime.

OB appt. Monday. More to follow.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE call me so I can help. We would love to watch him, or bring dinner or whatever. Actually, I think I'll call you. But don't answer if you have to get up. So sorry this is happening again.

So how did the appointment go?
You've reminded me that I'm really blessed--I always have a ton of contractions, too, but mine seem to be more dehydration-related and don't seem to cause things to progress until it's safe to do so. I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time! Hang in there.

Do you need movies or books or anything?
